Configuring MLD snooping proxying
This section describes how to configure MLD snooping proxying.
Configuration prerequisites
Before you configure MLD snooping proxying in a VLAN, complete the following tasks:
•
Enable MLD snooping in the VLAN.
•
Determine the source IPv6 address for the MLD reports sent by the proxy.
•
Determine the source IPv6 address for the MLD done messages sent by the proxy.
Enabling MLD snooping proxying
The MLD snooping proxying function works on a per-VLAN basis. After you enable the function in a
VLAN, the device works as the MLD snooping proxy for the downstream hosts and upstream router
in the VLAN.
To enable MLD snooping proxying in a VLAN:
