Importance of HP-Approved Cartridges
HP-approved cartridges are thoroughly tested to meet high-quality standards.
Before HP recommends a cartridge the quality and reliability of the magnetic
media and the cartridge are evaluated. Do not use unapproved cartridges; they
may not be compatible with HP tape drives. See the section "Approved
Cartridges" in Chapter 5 for a list of HP-approved cartridges.
Cleaning with the Cleaning Cartridge
Caution: To clean the heads of the DLT drive, use only cleaning cartridges
compatible with the DLT drive.
1. When the Operate Handle LED is illuminated, lift the cartridge insert/release
handle 1 .
2. Insert the cartridge

3. Push the cartridge completely into the drive.
4. Lower the handle

to lock the cartridge in place.
