IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal
and replacement
Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the keyboard top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 33 ).
a. Battery (see Battery on page 41 ).
b. USB port shield (see USB port shield on page 48 ).
Disconnect all cables from the system board:
1. USB/Audio board cable (1).
2. RTC battery cable (2).
3. Webcam cable (3).
4. Speaker cable (4).
