NOTE:
Steps 1 through 3 apply only to computer models equipped with discrete graphics subsystem
memory.
1.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×40 screws that secure the heat sink assembly to the top of the
system board.
2.
Turn the system board upside down and remove the four Phillips PM2.0x4.0 screws

that secure
the heat sink assembly to the system board.
3.
Remove the heat sink

NOTE:
Due to the adhesive quality of the thermal material located between the heat sink and
system board components, it may be necessary to move the heat sink from side to side to detach
it.
NOTE:
Steps 4 and 5 apply only to computer models equipped with UMA graphics subsystem
memory.
4.
Loosen the three Phillips PM2.0×4.0 screws

that secure the heat sink to the system board.
