Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal 

and replacement.

Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down the computer.

2.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then 
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.

Remove the base enclosure (see 

Base enclosure on page 32

).

5.

Disconnect the battery (see 

Battery on page 34

), and then remove the following components:

).

Remove the display panel:

1.

Use a thin plastic tool to disengage the bezel starting on the top edge (1). Continue on the left and right 
edges (2) and then bottom edge (3), and then lift the display bezel (4) to remove it.
