•6. Remove the last roller under the stepping plate.

a. Remove the two screws that secure the roller to the walls of the
stepping plate assembly.
•b. Remove the roller. The rear of roller axle is shorter and has a spacer
on its end. The front side of the roller axle is longer than the rear side
of the axle. The roller must be replaced in the same orientation.
c. Save the roller screws and label them so they can be used during the
roller reinstallation.
Removing the Unwinder Nip roller Drive motor
•1. Remove the Unwinder Nip roller drive motor.
d. Unscrew and remove the encoder and power connectors to the NIP
roller drive motor.
e. From the outside of the Unwinder wall, remove the four bolts that
secure the motor bracket to the front Unwinder wall. Release the
motor.
f.
While one person unscrews the screws that secure the motor in place,
a second person should hold the motor (Figure 58).
g. Pull the motor straight out of the motor belt and the Unwinder wall.
Place it in a safe place.
