266 Chapter 19 Chiller
ENWW
Troubleshooting
In the following table, the possible causes for an alarm are given, together with their
solution.
Default
Cause
Solution
Restart procedure
Alarm due to high
pressure of the
refrigerant
Lateral panels of the
housing open
Close the panels.
Disconnect the chiller
(On/Off and main
power switches both
off—see ‘Control panel’
on page 264). Open the
front panel of the
chiller, and reset the
high-pressure safety
switch (SHP) by
pressing its button.
Turn both the main
power switch and the
On/Off switch back on.
Low airflow into the
condenser
Clean the condenser.
The ambient
temperature is too high
Wait until the ambient
temperature is lower.
The water temperature
is too high
Try to cool down the
water in the circuit by
running the chiller with
the application stopped.
The motor fan is not
working
Check the motor fan
fuses. If the problem
persists, contact your
HP Indigo service
center.
Alarm due to low
pressure of the
refrigerant
Gas leakage
Contact your HP Indigo
service center
The low pressure safety
switch (SLP)
automatically resets
itself when the pressure
returns to normal.
Water level alarm
Water leakage
Check the water circuit,
and refill the tank.
The level switch
automatically resets
itself when there is
enough water in the
tank.
Low flow/temperature
control operates
continuously (see
‘Control panel’ on page
264)
Water circuit blocked
Clean the water circuit,
and check for closed
valves in the circuit.
The control will go back
to normal operation
when the problem is
solved.
Possible freezing
Check the proportion of
ethylene glycol.
CIrcuit break in the
pump
Reset the circuit
breaker of the pump. If
the problem persists,
