When you enable IGMP snooping, follow these guidelines:
•
Enable IGMP snooping globally before you enable it for a VLAN.
•
IGMP snooping for a VLAN takes effect only on the member ports in that
VLAN.

snooping port

Optional.
Configure the maximum number of multicast groups and fast-leave processing
on a port of the specified VLAN.
When you configure IGMP snooping port functions, follow these guidelines:
•
Before you enable IGMP snooping on a port, enable multicast routing or
IGMP snooping globally.
•
IGMP snooping enabled on a port takes effect only after IGMP snooping is
enabled in the VLAN or IGMP is enabled on the VLAN interface.
