Site requirements
Before installing the system, verify that the following site requirements are met:
• Space and airflow requirements
• Temperature requirements
• Power requirements
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you install or position the system in a location with restricted access, where
the access is secured and controlled. The users/technicians handling the system must be informed about the restrictions
applied and precautions to be taken.
Space and airflow requirement
To allow for servicing and adequate airflow, leave a minimum clearance of 20 cm (7.9 in) around the system.
Power requirement
Installation of this equipment must comply with local and regional electrical regulations governing the installation of
information technology equipment by licensed electricians. This equipment is designed to operate in installations covered
by NFPA 70, 1999 Edition (National Electric Code), and Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, CSA C22.1 or equivalent
NFPA-75, 1992 (code for Protection of Electronic Computer/Data Processing Equipment). For electrical power ratings on
options, see the product rating label or the user documentation supplied with that option.
Temperature requirements
To ensure continued safe and reliable equipment operation, install or position the server in a well-ventilated, climate-
controlled environment.
