WLAN module
The WLAN module installs into a slot on the system board.

To remove the WLAN module:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for disassembly on page 17
)
2.
Remove the access panel (
3.
Remove the front bezel (
).
4.
Disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drives in the drive cage.
5.
Remove the drive cage (
)
6.
Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables (1) from the terminals on the WLAN module.
NOTE:
The WLAN antenna cable labeled “1” connects to the WLAN module “Main” terminal labeled “1”.
The WLAN antenna cable labeled “2” connects to the WLAN module “Aux” terminal labeled “2”.
Some modules have only one connected antenna cable.
7.
Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw (2) that secures the WLAN module to the computer. (The edge of
the module opposite the slot rises away from the computer.)
8.
Remove the WLAN module (3) by pulling the module away from the slot at an angle.
NOTE:
WLAN modules are designed with a notch to prevent incorrect insertion.
Reverse this procedure to install the WLAN module.
