Define Segments

Select Display>Histogram.

The Histogram display appears. Note the connected boxes, visible below 
the upper display area. These boxes are called segments. They make it 
possible to define portions of the histogram span for selective analysis. 
(The segment definition is based on the characteristics of your 
measurement data, such as the expected code spacings.)

For the HP E1741A and HP E1747A analysis software only, once the data 
is acquired, the data for the individual segments can be individually 
added to, or subtracted from, segmented histogram and window margin 
analysis. (More about this later.)
