Removal and Replacement Procedures— Slim Tower (ST) Chassis
7.18 Power Supply

WARNING:
Voltage is always present on the system board when the computer is plugged into an
active AC outlet. To avoid possible personal injury and damage to the equipment the power cord should
be disconnected from the computer and/or the AC outlet before opening the computer.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Section 7.1, “Preparation for Disassembly”
).
2. Remove the computer cover (
3. Remove the security clip.
4. Rotate the power supply to its upright position.
5. Pull the drive cage forward and disconnect the power cables from all of the drives.
6. Disconnect the power cables from the system board.
7. Release the power supply cable from the cable retaining clip at the front of the chassis below
the drive cage and from the clip on the side of the chassis in front of the hard drive (
8. Disconnect the hood sensor from the system board and remove the sensor from the power
supply if required (
