Description

Before removing the battery, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 18

).

2.

Remove the bottom cover (see 

Computer feet and bottom cover on page 18

).

Remove the battery:

1.

Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board.

2.

Remove the five Phillips M2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the battery to the computer.

3.

Remove the battery (3).

Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
