How to Set the Power

How to Set Power and Attenuation

A t t e n u a t o r

If your tunable laser has an in-built optical attenuator, you can set the laser
output power and then set the attenuation.

Move to the Tunable Laser channel and press [Details].

Choose the Output 2, the high power output, for a Tunable Laser module
with two optical outputs, as described in “How to Set the Optical
Output” on page 98. For modules with one optical output this is not
necessary.

Move to the power parameter, [P], and press [Pwr unit].
