
Power Supply
WARNING!
Voltage is always present on the system board when the computer is plugged into an
active AC outlet. To avoid possible personal injury and damage to the equipment the power cord should
be disconnected from the computer and/or the AC outlet before opening the computer.
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for Disassembly on page 108
).
2.
Remove the access panel (
Computer Access Panel on page 114
3.
Rotate the drive cage up and disconnect the power cables from all of the drives.
4.
Disconnect the power cables from the system board. Ensure you have disconnected all power
supply cables.
5.
Release the power supply cables from the cable retaining clips on the bottom of the chassis and
under the drive cage.
6.
Rotate the power supply to its full upright position

, pull the power supply forward about 1/2 inch,
and then lift the power supply straight up and out of the chassis

To install the power supply:
CAUTION:
When installing the power supply cables, make sure they are properly positioned so they
are not cut by the drive cage and are not pinched by the rotating power supply.
1.
Place the power supply in the upright position.
2.
Insert all four knobs (two on each side of the power supply) into their associated slots in the power
supply brackets.
3.
Push the power supply all the way down, and then press toward the rear of the unit until it snaps
into place.
The top of a properly installed power supply will set flush with the top of the chassis.
