Before removing the power board connector, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer
on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:
a.
Base enclosure (see
)
b.
Battery (see
c.
Speakers (see
d.
Remove the fans (see
)
e.
Remove the heat sink (see
f.
Remove the system board (see
Remove the power board:
1.
Remove the power board connector cable (1).
2.
Remove the two Phillips screws securing the connector and bracket to the computer (2)
3.
Lift the power board from the holder (3), and then remove the power board.
