Top Rail

CHC36 only:
Mate the bolt flanges on the 4.0” x 6.0” top rail sections and
secure the joint with seven 3/4" x 2" hex bolts & lock-nuts (assembled rail
should have approx. 2" crown).
Note
: CHC25 & 30 is a 4.0 x 4.0 one piece top rail.

All:
With a helper, carefully set the top rail on the rail mounts, place evenly
spaced on the diagonal channels from front to back. Clamp or hold the rail
in place.
3.
Assemble two 1/2” u-bolts and lock-nuts to the mount and secure the rail.
Repeat for remaining mount.
4. Further adjustment to the top rail position may be necessary depending on
the header. Final adjustments are covered in the owners manual.

Slow Moving Vehicle Sign (SMV)
1.
Attach the SMV bracket to the top rail with the
u-bolt and nuts (if attaching the SIS see below)
2.
Insert the bolts into the SMV, align and insert the
bolts in the mounting holes in the SMV bracket,
3. Loosely fasten the nuts.
4.
Adjust the SMV so the sign is straight and tighten
the nuts and bolts.
Speed Identification Symbol (SIS)
An SIS is required for U.S. customers that intend to
travel on public roads at speeds greater than 25 mile/h.
1.
Follow step 1 & 2 above, align the SIS bracket to
the SMV bolts in the SMV bracket
2. Secure with the two bolts and nuts.
3. Loosely fasten with bolts and nuts.
4.
Adjust the SMV so the sign is straight and tighten
the nuts and bolts.
