8.5.7 Emptying the spraying
mixture tank via the pressure
outlet

a
(a) Ball valve for pressure output
(b) Pressure output
1. Couple a discharge hose with 2" Camlock
coupling on the pressure output (b).
2. Open the ball valve (a).
3. Switch on the circulation on the terminal.
Control screen terminal - circulation
4.
After drainage switch off the circulation to
shut off the pump.
5. Close the ball valve (a) and remove the dis-
charge hose.
6. Close the pressure output (b) with the cap.
8.6 Residual quantities
A differentiation is made between two types
of residual quantities:
¾
Excess residual quantity
after the end of
spraying operation, e.g. resulting from errors
in the calculation of the application quantity,
in filling quantity or in spraying operation.
¾
Technical residual quantity
, which still
remains in the spraying mixture tank, the
suction fitting and in the spraying line after a
considerably drop in spraying pressure. The
suction fitting consists of the assembly groups
switch-over ball valve and pump.
8.6.1 Technical residual quantity
Please remember, that residual quantities in
the spraying line will be sprayed as undiluted
concentration, if the system is switched over to
fresh water with the nozzles switched on.
Strictly spray this residual amount from the
spraying line on an untreated area. The residual
amount in the spraying line depends on the width
of the boom.
Required travel distance in [m] to spray out the
undiluted residual amount in the spraying line
for
all
working widths:

Example:
With an application quantity of 200 l/ha the travel
distance to spray the respective spraying line
empty is approx. 41 m.
