Is the LEDs on the monitor lit?

■ Check the LEDs on the monitor.
• If any LED is lit, go to (1).
• If all of the LEDs are out, go to (2).

) The electrical circuit is OK. The machine is locked
mechanically. Turn off the Key switch, and check the fol-
lowing:
• The crank and the drive cam is mounted correctly.(See page
32 for details.)
• The rink plate in the safety cover section is deformed.
(See page 34 for details.)
• The knife holder cannot move because of the lack of grease
in the grooves to guide the knife holder.(See page 32 for
details.)

) The circuit breaker is tripped. If the machine cuts a thick
stack repeatedly in a short time, the circuit breaker will
be overheated and tripped. Tell the user not to use the
machine repeatedly in a short time.
When you released Cutting buttons, did knife go up and stop?

■ After the machine stopped, did the knife go up and stop
when you released the Cutting buttons ?
• If the knife went up and stopped, go to (1).
• If the knife did not move, go to (2).

) Check the screws on the knife holding plate.
• If the mounting screws on the knife holding plate are loos-
ened, the bottom of the holding plate may come off from the
knife during the cutting operation. If the bottom of the knife
holding plate hit the sheets, the machine may stop. Remove
the trim inside the holding plate, and lock the holding plate
completely.
• If the mounting screws on the knife holding plate are not loos-
ened, replace the knife. If the machine still stops during the
cutting operation, the paper quality is not proper. Tell the user
to reduce the amount of sheets which are cut at once.
