5. Running analysis
1- Press " OK " button to validate sample identification.
If a blank counting has to be done, the following message is displayed: " A reference cycle
hemoglobin has to be carried out, press the manual sample bar to run this cycle . " (OT) or " A
reference cycle hemoglobin has to be carried out, close the door to run this cycle. " (CT):
- Press the manual sample bar or close the tube holder door and wait until the end of the blank
counting cycle.
If the startup is invalid, the following message is displayed: " Warning! Startup is not valid. Do
you want to execute a startup cycle ? ":
- Press " OK " button and wait until the end of the startup cycle.
- In the " Reference blank counting " screen, press " OK " button to validate blank results.
- Press " OK " button in the " Sample identification " menu.

The " Sample analysis " dialog box is displayed.

The " Sample analysis " dialog box gives a summary of the sample identification parameters:
Patient type, Patient name and first name, Patient ID and Sample ID and gives instructions to run
the analysis.
2- Follow the indications displayed in the " Sample analysis " dialog box to run the analysis.

Select the position of the tube holder (See Tube holder selection:, page 4-17 ).

Mix the sample gently and thoroughly.
◆
Place the sample in that position of the tube holder.
◆
Close the tube holder door.
A patient analysis cannot be run if the instrument is locked.
The "
Status " button is red and the " OK " button is disable.
If an analysis is run with an invalid startup, the " Invalid startup " alarm will
be displayed on the result.
