ISAB
The following TISAB (Total Ionic Strength Adjustment Buffer) is used for
calibration and measurement.
When measuring a general sample solution
Use the provided TISAB, or the TISAB sold separately by HORIBA
Advanced Techno.
Alternatively, prepare the sample solution as described in the following
ASTM D1179 method B.
(1) Pour 500 mL of pure water in a 1 L beaker.
(2) Add the following three to (1).
(3) Stir the solutions specified in (2) until they dissolve.
(4) Cool down to room temperature.
(5) Add 5 N sodium hydroxide aqueous solution (standard: Approx. 150
mL), and adjust the pH in the range of 5.0 to 5.5.
(6) Transfer the solution prepared in (5) to a 1 L volumetric flask, and fill
up to 1 L with pure water.
