Enable Automatic Screen Brightness
If your computer is equipped with an outdoor display, enable automatic brightness con-
trol to allow the computer to automatically adjust the screen brightness depending on
the current lighting conditions.
1. Tap
Start

Control Panel
>
Screen
. The Screen Control screen appears.
2. Select Enable Automatic Brightness Control .
3. In
Low to medium light level (%)
, enter the brightness value you want to have in
low to medium light conditions.
4. In
Medium to high light level (%)
, enter the brightness value you want to have in
medium to high light conditions.
5. Tap
OK

Set the Screen Backlight
By default, the screen turns off when there is no activity with the computer. Use this sec-
tion to learn how to configure the time that the screen backlight turns off.
1. Tap
Start

Control Panel
>
Power Options
. The Power Option Properties screen
appears.
2. In the Power Schemes tab, select the time you want the screen backlight to turn off
in the Turn off monitor drop-down menus.
3. Tap OK to save your settings.
Rotate the Screen
Rotate the screen to change the screen orientation of the computer.

Control Panel
>
Screen Rotation

2. In the drop-down menu, select the orientation you want.
3. Tap
OK
to rotate your screen.
