SmartPAC 2 Program Mode

View Global Cams

NOTICE

Global cams may be set for any cam channel except 6, 7 and 8. See Chapter 4,
Initialization, for details.

NOTICE

To delete a global cam, select it from the Global Cam list under Initialization. In the Global
Cam Type screen, select “Delete Channel Settings.” See “SET GLOBAL CAMS,” page 216.

NOTICE

If you set or changed global cams while a tool was loaded, you must reload the tool to make
the global cams take effect.

Events that remain the same on all tools can be programmed once as “global cams” in
Initialization mode and will apply to all the tools entered into this SmartPAC 2. This saves
programming the same cam information for each tool and ensures that the cam always
operates the same.

Cams programmed as global cams are not available for programming for individual tools.

To see the global cams, in the Cam Program menu, Figure 5 - 27, press

F5

Cam Summary.” A screen appears similar to the next figure, showing the global cams, if
any, showing for each the channel number, cam name, type of timing and the timing settings.
