Installation
Note Honeywell recommends using the primary system boot in all cases except
when there is a problem with the primary hard drive or primary system boot.
Booting with the Recovery Operating System
If the primary system boot is failing, follow this procedure to perform a recovery operating
system boot:
1. Power up the unit.
2. Select the
Recovery Operating System boot option on the boot option selection
page and press Enter on the keyboard.
In the next screen, you have the option to either:

Press R to recover unit to previous version, or
• Press S for System recovery from hard disk.
3. Press S to perform the system recovery from hard disk.
4. Press Y to confirm proceeding with the system recovery.
5. You have the option to retain the current DVR settings. Press Y to retain your settings
(for most cases). Press N to perform a fresh boot (if your configurations have been
corrupted, try this option).
6. Finally you are given the option to make the recovery operating system boot your
default selection (for future system boots). Press Y to make the recovery system boot
the default selection (choose this option if the primary drive has permanent booting
problems). Press
N to keep the primary system boot as the default option (choose
this option if you will be using the primary boot in future reboots).
7. Your unit will boot up using the recovery operating system. Proceed with using the
unit as needed.
Powering Down
1. Press the power switch on the back panel of the DVR.
2. Unplug the Hybrid LT DVR from the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or wall outlet.
Caution The power cord is the disconnect device. Remove the appliance
coupler connector to disconnect the equipment.
3. Power down the camera(s) and other hardware.
4. Power down the UPS, if one is in use.
