Playing Audio With Clips
To play audio along with the video, click on a picture on the Player quad screen. The audio
source indicator turns green when audio data is present. Audio is only available in normal
play forward mode.
Archiving Clips and Images
You can archive (copy) to your PC hard drive:
• A full or partial clip
• A single image or an image of all active cameras as a JPEG
• All the clips on the hard drive. Each clip must be saved individually.
You can archive the audio along with the video. Clips and images can then be e-mailed to
a third party. For information on archiving clips as a self-executing file, see

Note Formatting of your PC or laptop hard drive determines the maximum
size of an archive file. If your hard drive is formatted FAT32, the
maximum file size is 4 GB. If your hard drive is formatted NTFS, the
maximum file size is theoretically unlimited.
When archiving a clip, BusView checks your available hard drive
space and its format to determine if a file transfer can take place.
Archiving Clips
To archive to the PC hard drive:
1. Connect a PC to an HTRD400 Recorder using a CAT5 Ethernet crossover cable.
2. Press POWER on the recorder front panel.
3. Start the Player application. The recorder name appears on the Recorders tab of the
Explorer Pane. This may take up to a minute, depending on your PC network status.
