Storage Screen
The Storage screen displays information about the DVR’s storage devices.
1. On the main Setup screen (see Figure 3-4 ), highlight Storage, then press

2. Highlight Format to format a device for recording or archiving.

Column Description
Type Displays the storage device
Capacity Provides the capacity of the storage device
Format Displays whether the device is used for recording (Record)
or archiving (Archive:
Not Using indicates the device is not used for either
recording or archiving.
Not formatted indicates the device is not formatted.
indicates that the device has temporary space set aside
so that you can save video clips on a CD-RW or DVD RW and
print images on a non-PostScript printer while in the Search
mode.
