Viewing HDD Status

You can check the status of the hard disk drive(s) at any time.

To view the status of an HDD:

1. Go to

Menu > HDD > General

2. Under

HDD Information

, the status of each installed HDD is displayed. If the status of the

HDD is listed as

Normal

Sleeping

, then the HDD is working correctly. If the status is

listed as

Uninitialized

Abnormal

, initialize the HDD (select the HDD and click

Init

. This

will erase all data on the hard disk.). If the initialization fails, replace the HDD.
You can also view the HDD status in the System Maintenance menu. See
