Alarm Connections
The following section provides the alarm I/O connector pinouts and alarm connection
functionality.
Alarm I/O Connector Pinouts
The following table describes the Alarm I/O connector pinouts for the HRDVS.
Alarm Connection Functionality
The HRDVS has two hardwired alarm inputs on the rear panel. Specify whether each
contact is normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).
Text Insertion/
Remote Access
Connect the serial interface of a POS/ATMs/cash registers, door card reader access, or
other DB9 EIA232 ASCII source.
OR
MPT/MPT400N
Connect an external modem or a null modem cable.
Alarm In/Out
Connect one or two external alarm devices to the HRDVS alarm input.
Connect the HRDVS alarm output to trigger an external device.
PC Card
Insert approved PCMCIA card for network or modem connectivity. Card validation occurs
during system powerup, and can be verified on the System Information screen (see
). You must enable remote access for the system to recognize and read the
PCMCIA card (see
Power
The HRDVS can operate with power ranging from 100 to 210 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz.
