The UPnP protocol is used to detect network devices with clients running Windows.
To enable UPnP, select the Enable check box. The camera can now be detected by
Windows' built-in network browser (My Network Places in Windows XP; Network in
Windows 7).
To enable UPnP in Windows XP:
1.
Go to
Start
Control Panel
Add or remove programs

Click
Add or remove programs
, then select
Networking Services
in the
Windows Components Wizard.

Click

Internet Gateway Device Discovery
and
Control
Client and UPnP User Interface
.
4.
Click
OK
to begin the installation.
To enable UPnP in Windows 7:
1.
Go to

Network and Internet
Network and Sharing Center
.

On the left pane, click
Change advanced sharing settings
.
3.
On your current network profile, in the
Network discovery
area, click
Turn on
network discovery
, and then click
Save changes
.
