Connection description
In 1 to 16
Connect the composite analog video inputs—1 to 16—to the BNC connectors on the rear
panel. Voltage levels should be 1 VDC ± 0.2 VDC.
Note
The HRDV8 has 8 analog video inputs.
Out 1 to 16
If looping is required to go to a second destination (for example, a matrix switch) connect the
composite analog video inputs from input cameras (up to 16) to the corresponding composite
analog video output BNC connectors. Termination is selected in the Program setup menus.
Note
The HRDV8 has 8 analog video outputs.
Mon 1
Connect the primary CCTV monitor to the digitally processed, Mon 1 (main monitor) output.
This output is a composite analog output with full or multiscreen views, displays configuration
menus, and a variety of text overlays during operation.
Mon 2
Connect an optional CCTV monitor to the Mon 2 (spot monitor) output. This output always
provides full screen sequential switching views of some or all cameras. This display is
completely independent of the Monitor 1 display.
Note
This output does NOT display configuration menus.
S-Video
Connect the primary monitor to the digitally processed, S-Video output. This output is an
S-Video output with full or multiscreen views, and displays the user interface during Menu
mode, and a variety of text overlays during operation. It has the same output as Monitor 1, but
in S-Video format.
Audio In
Connect the line level source to the audio input RCA connector.
Audio Out
Connect the RCA audio output of the HRDV16/8 to the RCA audio input of the CCTV monitor.
Comm
Connect the serial interfaces for ATMs 1 to 4 to the four ATM RS232 ports.
Connect the remote control or external modem to the control RS232 port with handshaking.
Connect the controlled device to the telemetry, four-wire RS485 port.

Alarm I/O
Connect external alarm devices to the HRDV16/8 alarm inputs. The HRDV16 has 16 alarm
inputs and the HRDV8 has 8 alarm inputs. Connect the HRDV16/8 alarm outputs to trigger
external devices. See
