The AC-250NXS meter includes two batteries:
•
Primary battery and
•
Replacement battery along with an HLC (Hybrid Layer
Capacitor) which stores the energy by charging from
•
the battery to supply enough current during cellular
communication.
The battery-related sub-screen displays the below parameters
of both these batteries:
•
Total capacity
•
Installation date
•
% of charge available
•
Is it in use currently?
•
How many hours has it been used?
The
Batt.Diag.
screen shows below HLC parameters:
•
Vcc is the Voltage provided to the Microcontroller of the
index but not the main/replacement battery voltage
•
V(min) is the minimum voltage threshold which is used
for checking the main/replacement battery voltage for
low voltage case.
•
Vhlc is the voltage of the HLC which is used for
powering internal hardware.
•
One of these indicates the states of the battery:

"Tampering"
if the device detects either Battery
tamper and/or Case Tamper. For further details
refer to the Application Manual section 7-
0:96.5.1.255 Current Diagnostic - Bit B10
⎯
"Substitute battery"
if the device detects battery
below the critical level
⎯
"OK"
if the device is not in any of the above states.
