Safety Instructions
All of the instructions should be carefully read before you install and commission the device. You
will find important information on here on the assembling, programming and operating procedures.
This device has been manufactured as per state-of-the-art technology. Use this device only
– as per the instructions and
– when it is correctly installed and operating perfectly.
– as per the technical specifications.
The manufacturer does not accept liability for damages resulting from improper use of the device.
Installation, programming, and maintenance / repair work must always be carried out by authorised
specialist personnel. Soldering work is only permitted using a temperature-controlled soldering iron
that is galvanically isolated from the mains power source. Observe VDE safety specifications and
the stipulations of the local utility provider.
DANGER
The devices may not be operated in explosive environments or in areas where
there are vapours that may cause corrosion of metals and plastics.
Any soldering and connecting-up work that is performed anywhere on the installa-
tion may only be carried out with the electrical power supply disconnected.

General Information
2.1
Application
The MB-Secure IP USB communication module is used to add more USB interfaces and an addi-
tional Ethernet interface to an MB-Secure control panel.
The connection to MB-Secure is made via the USB port on the MB-Secure computer circuit board.
The MB-Secure IP USB communication module is installed and operated in the central housing.
Three independent and individually secured USB ports are available for operational purposes.
An additional USB port is available exclusively for use in conjunction with a 4G transmission mod-
ule. The 4G transmission module is an integral component of the product variant art. no. 057810
and is not available as a separate option.
Furthermore, the MB-Secure IP USB communication module also provides an Ethernet interface
and allows a second IP transmission path for the connection and transmission of messages to
a receiving control panel (security company). A connection to WINMAG plus, IQ MultiAccess, IQ
PanelConrol and the WEB Interface, for example, can also be realized (also possible via a separate
IP network).
