ELECTRIC STARTER
STARTER MOTOR
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Disconnect the battery negative cable (page 21-6).
Release the rubber cap [1].
Remove the starter motor terminal nut [2] and starter
motor cable [3].
Remove the stater motor mounting bolts [4] and ground
cable [5].
Remove the starter motor [6].
Remove the O-ring [1].
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• Apply engine oil to a new O-ring.
• Route the cables properly (page 1-25).
