Battery Removal
Disconnect the negative (
) terminal lead ( ) from the battery ( )
first, then disconnect the positive (
) terminal lead ( ).
Remove the battery.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Check all bolts and other fasteners are secure.
Make sure the ignition switch is
(OFF).
Remove the seat (page
).
To remove the rear fender lid ( ), remove the clips ( ) (Fig.
).
Release the rings and remove the rubber band ( ).
After installing the battery, check to see if the battery cables are
routed correctly.
