Resetting the Engine Oil Life
If you change or replace the vehicle’s engine oil yourself, you must reset the
engine oil life.
1. Press the Display/Information button.
2. Press the
t
/
u
buttons to select the wrench icon and press the enter
button.
3. Press and hold the enter button for about 10 seconds to enter reset
mode.
4. Press the
p
/
q
to select the maintenance item to reset or select All Due
Items (you can also select cancel to end the process).
5. Press the eNTer button to reset the selected item and repeat step 4 to
reset any other items.
Failure to reset the Maintenance Minder display after a maintenance
service results in the system showing incorrect maintenance intervals,
which can lead to serious mechanical problems.

Checking the 12-volt Battery
Check the battery condition monthly.
Look at the test indicator window and
check the terminals for corrosion.
The battery condition is monitored by a
sensor on the negative terminal. If there
is a problem with the sensor, a message
on the information driver information
interface appears. Have your vehicle
checked by an authorized Honda Clarity
Plug-In Hybrid dealer.
Canadian models must reset the
immobilizer system.
Test Indicator Window
The battery gives off explosive hydrogen gas during normal operation.
A spark or flame can cause the battery to explode with enough force to kill or
seriously hurt you.
When conducting any battery maintenance, wear protective clothing and a
face shield, or have a skilled technician do it.

Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and
lead compounds.
Wash your hands after handling.
Window Washer Fluid
If the washer fluid level is low, fill the
washer reservoir. Pour the washer fluid
carefully. Do not overflow the reservoir.
Do not use engine antifreeze or a vinegar/water solution in the windshield
washer reservoir. Antifreeze can damage your vehicle’s paint. A vinegar/water
solution can damage the windshield washer pump.
