Start the TPMS Calibration Process
This vehicle has an indirect TPMS. Unlike other systems that directly measure air pressure, an indirect TPMS uses the
VSA wheel speed sensors to monitor and compare tire characteristics while driving and determine when one or more
tires are significantly underinflated.
To ensure proper operation, you must inflate all four tires to the cold inflation pressures listed on the driver’s doorjamb
label and start the TPMS calibration process during the PDI using the applicable method below.
TPMS Button Method (LX)
With the shift lever in Park (Neutral for M/T models), turn the ignition to ON. Press and hold the TPMS button until the
Low Tire Pressure/TPMS indicator blinks twice, telling you the calibration process has begun. Once started, the
calibration will complete on its own.
Driver Information Interface Method (LX-A with Honda Sensing)
1. With the shift lever in Park (Neutral for M/T models), turn the ignition to ON.
2. Using the driver information interface and steering wheel buttons, press the Information button, press the arrow
buttons to select
Vehicle Settings
, then press the ENTER button.
TPMS Calibration
comes up.
3. Press the ENTER button. The display switches to
Setup
where you can select
Cancel
or
Calibrate
.
4. Press the arrow buttons to select
Calibrate
, then press the ENTER button. You will then see
Calibration
Started
, followed by a return to the
Setup
screen. Once started, the calibration will complete on its own.
Display Audio Method (EX and above)
1. Start the engine and park the vehicle in an open area away from trees, power lines, and tall buildings. Remove
loose articles, cell phones, and electrical accessories near the GPS antenna. If you see this screen, press and
hold the audio power button to bypass it.
