Bulbs
(Refer to “Maintenance Precautions” on page 60.)
The light bulb becomes very hot while the light is
on, and remains hot for a while after it is turned off.
Be sure to allow it to cool down before servicing.

WARNING
Headlight Bulb
1. Remove the two screws (1) from the headlight case.
2. Gently pull the lower end of the headlight (2)
forward.
3. Disconnect the connector (3).

Wear clean gloves while replacing the bulb.
•••••
Do not put fingerprints on the bulb. They may
create hot spots causing the bulb to burn out
prematurely.

If you touch the bulb with bare hands, clean it with
cloth moistened with alcohol to prevent premature
failure.
NOTE
•
Be sure to turn the ignition switch off before
replacing the bulb.
•
Do not use bulbs other than specified.
•
After installing a new bulb, check that the light
operates properly.
