Before you ride your PWC for the first time,
we urge you to:
•
Read this owner
’
s manual.
•
Make sure you understand all the
safety messages.
•
Know how to operate all the controls.
•
Know local boating and PWC laws.
Before each ride, be sure:
•
You feel well and are in good physical
and mental condition.
•
You are wearing a PFD (personal
flotation device) and a wet suit bottom
or clothing that provides equivalent
protection.
•
You don
’
t have any alcohol or drugs in
your system.
Make sure your passenger is ready to ride
too, and is wearing proper protective clothing
and a PFD.
Check with local authorities to find out what
local boating laws apply to the area you
’
ll be
riding in. You
’
ll want to find out things like
whether it
’
s legal to operate your PWC in a
certain body of water, what the minimum
PWC operator age is, and whether or not you
need proof of training in order to operate a
PWC. Honda recommends that operators are
at least 16 years old before operating this
PWC.
For your safety, we strongly recommend that
you and your passenger always wear an
approved PFD, eye protection, footwear,
gloves, and a wet suit bottom whenever you
ride. Although complete protection is not
possible, wearing proper gear can reduce the
chance of injury when you ride. Following
are suggestions to help you and your
passenger choose the proper gear.
