The air cleaner element should also
be cleaned according to the
maintenance schedule under severe
conditions.
Clean the air cleaner element by
blowing compressed air through it in
the opposite direction to normal air
flow. If you do not have access to
compressed air (such as a service
station), ask your Honda dealer to do
this service.
Follow the replacement procedure
for removal and reinstallation.
The air cleaner element is inside the
air cleaner housing on the left side of
the engine compartment.
The air cleaner element should be
replaced according to the time and
distance recommendations in the
maintenance schedule.
To replace it:
Loosen the four bolts, and pull up
the front of the air cleaner housing
cover.
Make sure to locate the air cleaner
housing bolts as shown. Do not
loosen the socket bolt holding the air
flow meter.
Loosen the four bolts, and remove
the air cleaner housing cover.
