6 Start-up
6.1 Simple operating functions on the
device
After the device has been connected correctly and
switching on the mains voltage, it can be connected
to the Homematic Central Control Unit (or to other
Homematic devices).
Via the device button (
A
), connected loads can
be controlled directly (switch on and off without
teaching-in) with a short button press. In this
way, or by a short or long button press of push
buttons that are connected to terminal S1, you
can check that the electrical installation has
been performed correctly.
As the device button is lowered, a pointed isolated ob-
ject (e.g. a voltage tester) has to be used for operation.
In the following pictures, the operation is explained
using a finger for better understanding.
The LED signals the switching status of the relay:
LED on - relay contact enabled
LED off - relay contact disabled
