Battery Precautions
• Use only the size and type of batteries specified (2 “AA”).
• When installing batteries, observe /– polarities. Incorrect installation of battery may
cause damage to the unit.
• Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline with carbon-zinc or old batteries
with new ones).
• If the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove batteries to prevent
damage due to possible battery leakage.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
• Do not immerse battery compartment in water.
Filling the Water Bottle
1. Unscrew and remove the massage mechanism as described in ‘removing the massage
mechanism’ section.
2. Slide the massage mechanism out of the water bottle (Fig 12).
3. Holding the water bottle open in an upright position (Fig 13).
4. When filling the hot water bottle, do not use boiling water and fill to a maximum of two-thirds
capacity (1.25 ltrs, 42 fl. oz.) with hot water from a kettle which has been left to stand for one
minute. Hold the bottle by the neck in an upright position and fill slowly to avoid hot water
splashing back (Fig 14 & 15)
5. Insert the massage mechanism stopper to within 2cm of closing (Fig 16). Then expel the
excess air by lowering it carefully onto a flat surface until water is just visible through the
opening.
6. Screw the massage mechanism sufficiently tight to ensure that there is no leakage. Finger
tight should be adequate (Fig 17).

NOTE:
• Do not fill using water from the domestic hot water system as this can considerably shorten
the life of the hot water bottle.
• Prevent contact with hot surfaces.
• Prevent contact with oil or grease.
• When not in use, drain completely and keep, with the stopper removed, in a cool, dry, dark
place. Prevent exposure to sunlight. Do not place anything on top of the bottle.
• Check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage at regular intervals.
• Replace water bottle cap and make sure it is on securely
• Test for leakage by turning bottle upside down and pressing firmly.
• Water Bottle may be used without massage function.
