5.1 Maintaining the Server
This section provides detailed instructions for annually maintaining the Cenova server.
Before starting the maintenance procedure, make sure you have the following materials:
•
Removable media
•
Vacuum cleaner (anti-static vacuum preferred)
•
Cloth to wipe system
•
Laptop and network cable
•
Monitor and Keyboard (optional)
1.
Clean the hardware:
a.
Shutdown the system.
b.
Open the computer side and front access panel.
c.
Carefully vacuum fan air entry ports and heat sinks.
d.
Check internal connections and reseat cables/cards if necessary.
e.
Replace the side access panel and clean exterior of computer.
2.
Run Self Test and verify all licensed/configured features pass.
3.
Use Case Manager to check if the site has experienced any recent case failures.
a.
Connect to Cenova server and log into the Cenova Control Panel as

b.
Select
Case Manager
.
c.
Review case alerts.
4.
Delete failed cases:
a.
From the Cenova Control Panel, select
Case Manager
.
b.
Click the check box under the
icon to filter for failed cases.
c.
Click the check box to the left of the
icon to select all.
d.
Click
Delete
and verify delete.
e.
Repeat until all cases with the
icon have been deleted.
Note
Use the dropdown at the bottom of the page to increase the number of
records per page.
5.
Create backup of the system configuration:
a.
From the Cenova Control Panel, select
System Control
and use the
Backup
option to copy the system configuration to the removable media.
b.
Label the removable media and place it in a secure location at the site.
