6. If the engine does not start, pause for one minute and then repeat step 4 again. If after two
attempts the engine does not start, see
Troubleshooting
chapter.
7. Let the engine run for at least 20 seconds to allow engine oil to circulate.
8. Go to
Driving hydrostatic tractor
procedure to start driving.
Note:
To shut off the engine, turn the ignition key counter-clockwise and set it to position 1.
Driving hydrostatic tractor
This procedure provides instructions on how to drive the hydrostatic C992 Holder tractor.
Before driving the hydrostatic tractor, ensure the following:
1. Slow-moving vehicle sign is on the tractor and clearly visible to traffic.
2. No one is present near the tractor or its attachments.
3. Drive direction switch is in neutral.
4. Drive program switch is set to 0.
5. Fine speed adjustment dial is set to 0.
6. Parking brake is engaged.
To drive the hydrostatic tractor:
Warning:
Start the engine only from the driver's seat with cab doors closed. Failure to
comply could result in serious or fatal injuries.
Caution:
Bring the tractor to a complete stop before changing a driving direction or
program. Failure to comply may damage the tractor.
Note:
Use the engine tachometer to monitor engine speed and the ground/PTO speed digital
display to monitor ground or PTO speed. To switch from ground speed to PTO speed, use
the ground/PTO speed digital display switch.
Note:
When the tractor is switched to reverse, the backup alarm will sound.

Driving comfort and traction can be increased by reducing tire pressure within the
limits corresponding to the total permissible weigh. See ?
