In-Line Low Pressure Filter
5.20 Replacing In-Line
Hydraulic Filters
Before performing any maintenance procedure,
make sure the water blasting system is shutdown
with the truck in the service position.
Low Pressure Filters
The low pressure filter is the spin-on type filter
located in the return line near the bottom of the
tank. Use the following procedure to change the
filters.
Changing the low pressure filter element:
1. Make sure the hydraulic system is not pressur-
ized and the fluid is cool.
2.
Use a filter wrench and rotate the filter coun
-
terclockwise to remove it.
3.
Lubricate the seal on the new filter with hy
-
draulic fluid.
4.
Install the filter and hand tighten.
5.
Inspect the filter for leaks when the hydraulic
system is activated.
High Pressure Filter
The high pressure filter is a spin-on type filter
located on the side of the auxiliary engine bell
housing. This filter is in the hydrostatic drive
high pressure circuit. Make sure to verify that all
pressure is bled from the system before remov-
ing the filter.
Changing the high pressure filter element:
1. Verify 0 pressure in the system, then use a
filter wrench and rotate the filter counterclock
-
wise to remove it.
2.
Lubricate the seal on the new filter with hy
-
draulic fluid.
3.
Install the filter and hand tighten.
4.
Inspect the filter for leaks when the hydraulic
system is activated.
High Pressure Filter
