AUTOMATIC Mode
“
BALANCING
”
The following instructions describe the specific
functions of the wheel balancer in AUTOMATIC
mode, “BALANCING”.
Icon shown in (Fig. 5-31) indicates the “BALANCE”
mode is active. The unit operates in Automatic
Mode.
When the “
BALANCING
” mode is set via setup panel,
the machine performs the automatic wheel data
reading procedure and the user does not have to
perform any setting before the measuring run (except
for Type of Vehicle, if a different type of vehicle from
the one set needs to be retrieved, i.e. Car).
This section sets out the specific functions of the
“
BALANCING
” mode and only the Menu items that
refer to this mode are explained. For information about
the other Items and icons, refer to the basic chapter
(
4.0).
During the wheel measuring run the screen in figure
(
Fig. 5-32
) appears and at the end the weights shown
can be:
- suggested (yellow)
or
- possible alternatives (grey).
An additional icon is displayed if the Spokes Count is
active during the measuring run (
2, Fig. 5-32
).
The possible application of the weights in ways
other than those suggested by the machine is
indicated by the grey weights in the positions
compatible with the rim configuration detected.
Note
: The change in the position of the weight is saved
by the machine, then automatically suggested
for all subsequent wheels with the same
dimensions. The selection is deleted when the
machine is switched off.
Manual modification of the data in profiling modes
If automatic measurement errors are present or if the
operator assesses the incorrect data, it will be possible
to modify them in Rim Data Entry, both by entering
them manually and by using the Geodata arm.
