GUIDE INDICATIONS IN THE VCR DISPLAY
Guide indications in VCR display and OSD screen
The following indications appear in the VCR display and OSD screen to tell you the current status of your VCR.

When programming the timer
• The VCR clock has been set to "--:--". Set
the time and program the timer.

When programming the timer (by
using VCR display)
• A non-existing PlusCode number has been
entered. Check the PlusCode number of the
program and enter it again.
(flashes for about 5
seconds)
When programming the timer
• Eight programs have already been stored.
Cancel unnecessary program and transfer
the new program.
(flashes uninterruptedly)
When you turn power off after
programming the timer, or transfer the
programming with the power off
• A cassette has not been inserted or a
cassette without safety tab has been
inserted. A cassette without safety tab will be
ejected automatically. Insert a cassette with
safety tab intact..
Display for about 5 sec.
(flashes for about 3
seconds)
When you press the play, record, fast
forward, rewind or super index button
• A cassette has not been inserted. Insert a
cassette.
Display for about 5 sec.
(flashes for about 3
seconds)
When you press the record button for
recording or dubbing, or press the
(VIEW/SKIP/BLANK) button for
BLANK SEARCH
• A cassette without safety tab has been
inserted. It will be ejected automatically.

When you turn power on
• The video heads are dirty. Cleaning them is
recommended. To switch off the CL display,
clean the heads, turn the power off and press
the channel
button. The CL display
automatically switches off when recording
and playback are performed for about 5
hours after it appears.
