Minimum Number of Drives
Four HDDs or SSDs per controller chassis (two in upper half, two in lower half). HDDs or SSDs must be
added four at a time to create RAID groups, unless they are spare drives. The minimum number of
operating flash modules is four, one in each of the four flash boxes in the flash chassis. Spares are
additional.

1. Each drive size requires its own chassis. Drive sizes cannot be mixed in a single chassis.
