dry, lint-free cloth. Keep the cloth away from the array fans.

Migrating Data
Your Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100 supports RAID 6. RAID 6 delivers
enhanced data protection compared by allowing for two simultaneous drive
failures without downtime or data loss.
In the unlikely event that a sufficient number of drive failures render your
Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100 unusable, you can migrate your data to
a replacement array.
Performing array migration is straightforward using the Hitachi Simple
Modular Storage 100 Auto Migration Kit. The Kit comes with all the cables
and instructions you need to migrate data. For more information, please
visit the Hitachi Web Portal at
. Instructions for
migrating data can also be found in the
Auto Migration
topic in the Storage
Navigator 2 online help.
•
CAUTION! Do not pour or spray liquids directly onto your Hitachi
Simple Modular Storage 100.
CAUTION! It is important to keep the front panel bezel and rear
panel clean. Otherwise, the array’s internal temperature can
increase, causing the array to fail.
