PROTECT switch
The PROTECT switch protects the system area so that it is not destroyed by user tasks coded in C
or FA-BASIC. This switch has no effect for arithmetic functions including user arithmetic
functions. Memory is protected in the following range:
/000000
/060000
/080000
/0A0000
/0D0000
/0E0000
/0F0000
/100000
/4FFFFF

A: The values of the LPET, DW, T, U,
and C registers are included.
B: The values of the UFET, PRET, T, U,
and C registers are included.
Extension
memory*
*: To protect extension memory, operate the
write-protect switch, on the extension memory
module (LQM000).
However, the extension memory in the CPU module
cannot be protected. For details, see "6.4 Setting
an Extension Memory Module."
Protection error
With the PROTECT switch set to ON, a user task may attempt to access a protected area. This
results in a protection error, and only that task is aborted.
When user tasks are registered in the table that registers user arithmetic functions (UFET), rather
than program edition table (PRET), the PROTECT switch has no effect.
