Installation and Configuration
This section describes the minimum system requirements for installing and configuring an
SEC.
To install the SEC the following equipment is required:
• A PC with Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or higher. (These procedures are written for
Internet Explorer 6, if your PC uses a different version of Internet Explorer; please check
your IT department for any differences in the procedures.)
• A serial cable
• A standard Ethernet cable (for connecting the SEC to an Ethernet network)
• A crossover Ethernet cable (for connecting the SEC to a PC)
• A WAGO power connector (STS supplied)

Power Source Cable Configuration
Power is supplied through the front mounted WAGO cage clamp style connector. It is
recommended that 14-18AWG wire be used for the power connections. The negative battery is
connected to Pin 1 of the connector and the positive battery is connected to Pin 4 (
